Variety honors a select group of women in entertainment who, through their efforts, have made a significant difference to their chosen causes. 400 invite-only guests made up of Hollywood insiders and A-list talent come to celebrate, support and pay tribute to the philanthropic efforts of these amazing women. Variety's Philanthropy Bazaar provides an interactive area for guests to engage with the participating brand sponsors and the featured charities. The goal of Variety's Power of Women is to inspire and encourage people from all walks of life to get involved, give back and make a difference.
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 30, 2010) — Variety is pleased to announce the line-up for their second-annual Variety's Power of Women luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on September 30, 2010. In conjunction with their annual Women's Impact Report, and in partnership with Lifetime Television and Lifetime Movie Network, Variety will bring together an intimate group of Hollywood's most philanthropically impactful women selected as Variety's "Lifetime Impact Honorees" who, through their efforts, have made a significant difference to their chosen causes.
The exclusive luncheon will host four-hundred invite-only guests made up of Hollywood insiders and talent, who will come to celebrate, support and pay tribute to the philanthropic efforts of these amazing women. The afternoon will also include a VIP pre and post-ceremony cocktail reception with an interactive "Philanthropy Bazaar" designed to engage guests with the featured charities and participating brand sponsors.
This year's honorees include two-time Oscar-nominee Amy Adams (for her work on behalf of The Ghetto Film School), Management 360 Founding Partner Suzan Bymel (Global Creative Forum), Emmy-nominee and Golden Globe winner Jennifer Garner (Save the Children), Broadway sensation Katie Holmes (Dizzy Feet Foundation), Oscar-nominee Diane Lane (Heifer International), and four-time ALMA Award nominee Eva Mendes (Art of Elysium).
